Two Museums, One Thread - A Journey from Sri Lanka's Zoological Gardens to Finland's Butterfly Drawers

One interest, followed long enough, ran from the Young Zoologists' Association in Sri Lanka — cleaning skeletons for a new zoological museum — to a collection room in Turku, digitising Sri Lankan butterflies that Finnish researchers had collected in 1972.

Sharing the Land: Coordinating Sri Lanka's Leopard Monitoring Program

Between 2022 and 2023, I coordinated a multi-regional monitoring system for the Sri Lankan leopard across six research centers — understanding human-leopard interactions, and trying to find real solutions to reduce harmful incidents between people and leopards.

Life in the Dry Zone: My Years at Kaludiyapokuna

From December 2017 to April 2020, home was a field station beside Sigiriya. Habituating four primate species, recording their lives from before dawn until dusk, and turning years of daily notes into published research.
